Mr Le-Doux-Lucas (LDL)
Welcome to Fistral class
This half term, we will be exploring the world of volcanoes and earthquakes and the impact that they have on our lives with our new topic of Rocks, Relics and Rumbles.
In our wider curriculum, we will be learning about the features and characteristics of the Earth’s layers as well as exploring volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis.
In English, we will be creating shape poems, writing newspaper articles and writing stories based on other cultures. Our guided reading text for this term will focus on Lila, the Firework-Maker’s Daughter, and her journey to become a Firework-Maker herself.
In maths, we will be looking at money where we will be learning to add and subtract amounts of money and give change. We will then be focusing on time where we will be learning to read the time and compare time in hours, minutes and seconds.
Our RE learning will be about Lent and in PSHE we will continue to look at wellbeing.
